The Bradley County School Board met last night.

 

The two main topics on the Board’s agenda were the Director of Schools’ evaluation and the renewal of the Director of Schools’ contract. 

 

Several community members asked to address the board. Mitchell Simpson with Wright Brothers Construction, Lynn Voelz, with the Bradley/Cleveland Public Education Foundation, and Mike Griffin with the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce all addressed the board in favor and support of Dr. Linda Cash. 

 

The Board members gave Dr. Cash a total average score of 2.98 out of a possible 3 on her evaluation. Here are the categories board members rated her on and her average score for each category:

The next item for the board was the Director of Schools’ Contract. 

 

5th District School board member, Rachel Goins requested to postpone the contract vote. Her motion failed to receive a second. Ultimately, the board passed the new contract that will run through the 2028 school year with Dr. Linda Cash. Board member Rachael Goins abstained from the vote with the rest of the members voting in favor of the contract. 

 

The board will next meet on 

June 4th for a work session.
