From WRCB Channel 3…

McKee Foods says an employee at a local plant has tested positive for COVID-19.

McKee Foods spokesperson Mike Gloekler says the employee works at plant 2 in Collegedale and was last in the workplace on Monday, May 18.

Gloekler says the employee sought testing on May 21 after experiencing symptoms and the test came back positive.

“All protocols are being followed, including cleaning and sanitizing, as well as contacting all employees who may have been in close contact within the past 14 days,” Gloekler says. “Those employees have been placed on quarantine by our Employee Health Services Department as an extra measure of caution.”

Gloekler says the employee who tested positive is recovering at home.
