Yesterday, custom sandwich maker SK Food Group officially broke ground on a more than half-million-square-foot plant in what will be the city of Cleveland’s biggest-ever industrial project and Bradley County’s second largest.

The $205 million factory at the Spring Branch Industrial Park will create 840 jobs over seven years. The facility is set to start operations in 2025.

President Dustin Dixon, said Bradley County’s Pie Innovation Center, was a major factor in choosing Cleveland for the facility. SK Foods will utilize the facility to train its workforce.

“The Pie Center is unlike anything we’ve seen across the country. Even with automation, we’ll require skilled workers,” said Dixon.
