In news today…

Cleveland police are searching for runaway juvenile they describe as ‘armed.’

The Facebook Post made Thursday morning says that Jesus ‘Tyler’ Teague has an active warrant for aggravated burglary, kidnapping and aggravated assault. He’s also listed as a suspect in a separate burglary, Cleveland police say.

Teague left his Gaut Street home and was last seen wearing blue jeans, tennis shoes and a black sweatshirt with ‘Best Friends’ on it and a red rose written on the back. He has the name ‘Xayne’ tattooed on his left forearm.

Police describe Teague as approximately 6’01”, brown hair, brown eyes, and weighing 140lbs. They believe he is armed with a semiautomatic handgun, which was used in the aggravated burglary.

Please use caution and do not approach him.

If you see him, you are asked to call 911 immediately.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tyler Teague is urged to call the Bradley County Emergency Communications Center at 423-476-7511.

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee says he will submit comprehensive pro-life legislation to the Tennessee General Assembly in 2020, including the prohibition of an abortion where a fetal heartbeat exists.

In a news release sent Thursday, his office says this legislation would make Tennessee one of the most pro-life states in the country

A number of states have passed similar fetal heartbeat bills, the goal being to get the U.S. Supreme Court to revisit its landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.

This legislation would include provisions such as:

  • Prohibiting an abortion where a fetal heartbeat exists
  • Requiring a mother to undergo an ultrasound prior to an abortion
  • Prohibiting an abortion where the physician is aware that the decision to seek an abortion is motivated by the race, sex, or health or disability diagnosis of the unborn child

To protect against legal challenges, the new law would also include a creative “ladder” provision, modeled after Missouri law, of sequential abortion prohibitions at two-week gestational age intervals, along with severability clauses for each step of the ladder.
