The Council presented a Proclamation to Forestry Director, Dan Hartman, to commemorate his retirement.

 

Andy Hunt, Director of the Cleveland Public Library, was also presented with a proclamation for his retirement. 

 

Scotty Barrera, Sadler Bartula, Victor Bednarski, Dawson Buttram, Hunter Davis, Mary Judkins, Jordan Martin, Lucas McCune, Samantha Rossetter, Seth Stockner, Henry Thompson, and Daniel Welch, were all sworn in as Cleveland City Police Officers. 

 

Several City Employees were given Service Awards for their years of service: 

 

25-Year Award recipients-Travis Graig, Andy Ratcliff, Scott Criddle, Dean Beverly, Nekita Blair, Ryan Malone, Renea Brown, Pete VanDusen, Eric Renfroe, Jasen Parks, Matthew Ford, Craig Foote, Micah Akins, Shane Clark, Kris Miller, and Randy Sharp

 

30-Year Award Recipient- Avery Johnson 

 

35 Years Award went to Jeff Tilley

 

Two Public Hearings on requests were conducted: 

 

The first was to re-zone from General Commercial to Low-Density Single and Multi-Family Zoning of 1.1 Acres on Fair Street. The request was approved by the Council members. 

 

The second was a request for a nightclub permit to be located at 529 Inman Street. 

 

The Council also voted to appropriate funds to the Land Bank Authority which consisted of $25k from General Funds and $500k Bond Funds. 

 

The Council also passed a resolution to Initiate the annexation process and draft a plan of services for the annexation of over 293 acres located on Frontage Road, Dry Valley Road, and South Lee Highway— 

 

The next City Council Meeting on Monday, January 8th.
