The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) is asking for the public’s help identifying a man who recently pulled a gun on a driver.

The incident happened on November 18th at about 2:15 p.m. on Harrison Pike, near the I-75 overpass.

BCSO says a man driving a blue or purple Kia pointed a handgun at a black Toyota truck.

Video surveillance shows what appears to be a man pointing the handgun out the driver’s side window.

If you saw the incident or can identify the male in the video image, contact the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division at 423-728-7336.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has awarded the Cleveland/Bradley Chamber of Commerce with its designation of Accredited with 4 Stars for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community.

The purpose of the U.S. Chamber’s Accreditation Program is to facilitate continuing excellence in the chamber industry and to foster a pro-business environment across America. In order to receive Accreditation, a chamber must meet minimum standards in their operations and programs, including areas of governance, government affairs, communications, and technology. This extensive self-review can take 6-9 months to complete.

Local chambers are rated Accredited, 3-Stars, 4-Stars, or 5-Stars. State chambers are recognized as either Accredited State Chamber or Accredited State Chamber with Distinction. The final determination is made by the Accrediting Board, a committee of U.S. Chamber board members.

Also in news today…

The Tennessee Department of Education released graduation rates for the graduating class of 2021. Bradley County DIrector of Schools Dr. Linda Cash was beyond excited and delighted to announce that the graduation rate for the 2020-2021 school year is 95.8%. The graduation rate increased this year, up from 95.3% last year. 

This is above the state graduation rate of 88.7%. This also marks the third year that Bradley County has had the second highest graduation rate in the Southeast Core Region. Meigs County has the highest graduation rate in the region and Bradley County Schoools congratulates them on a job well done.
