From Local 3 News: UPDATE: A former Bradley County Jail correctional officer and her husband have been bonded out of jail after being indicted on several kidnapping charges.

 

Krystl McClure was released on April 26 from the Bradley County Jail on a $50,000 bond. Two days later, Shawn McClure was released after posting a $50,000 bond as well.

 

Krystl Lyn McClure faces 21 counts of kidnapping for incidents between September and December of 2023.

Chase McClure faces one count of child abuse and neglect endangerment and two counts of kidnapping charges. Court documents show the incidents happened between November and December of 2023.


 

PREVIOUS STORY: Former Bradley County Jail correctional officer, Krystl Lyn McClure, and her husband, Chase Shawn McClure, have been indicted by a Bradley County Grand Jury on several kidnapping charges.

Krystl Lyn McClure faces 21 counts of kidnapping for incidents between September and December of 2023.

 

Chase McClure faces one count of child abuse and neglect endangerment and two counts of kidnapping charges. Court documents show the incidents happened between November and December of 2023.

 

Each face a $50,000 bond.

 

Lt. Robert Jones, Bradley County Sheriff’s Office Asst. Director of Communications released the following statement:

“I can confirm that Krystl Lyn McClure was employed at the Bradley County Jail as a probationary correctional officer from 9/22/2023 to 12/20/2023. She was released from employment for failing to meet the requirements of the probationary period. Upon discovering allegations that lead up to her indictment, Sheriff Lawson made a request to the District Attorney’s Office that they investigate the incident. For more information regarding this case, I’ll have to refer you to the District Attorney’s Office.”
