The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has identified Patrick Godwin as the man they say was shot and killed in the front yard of his home Tuesday night.
It happened on the 8500 block of Horseshoe Bend Lane, a residential subdivision.
Now, officers are searching for the person who pulled the trigger, and neighbors have recovered video of the possible shooter.

Attorneys for a man charged with robbery and indecent exposure believe video evidence will clear him.
Justin Posey is accused of robbing a woman outside Burrito Express in Cleveland in November.
Attorneys argue surveillance video shows he was never at the restaurant, but prosecutors say the video is poor quality and is not time-stamped.
The judge says that’s not enough to drop the case, ruling there’s enough probable cause to take the robbery case against Posey to a grand jury.
Posey is also charged with indecent exposure on the campus of Lee University. The incident allegedly happened a little more than a week before the robbery.
His next court appearance on the robbery case is scheduled for March 2nd.

A judge has dismissed a secondary extortion charge against Hamilton County Commissioner Tim Boyd.
The order was filed Dec. 20 and signed by Judge Andrew Freiberg, according to court records.
Boyd, who was first elected in 2010, was indicted in April 2018 and accused of trying to force East Ridge Mayor Brent Lambert to withdraw from their race for the Hamilton County Commission District 8 seat. Boyd ultimately won the Republican primary in May 2018, capturing 63 percent of the vote. Lambert had said Boyd was threatening to release “potentially damaging information.”
Extortion is a felony and Boyd could have faced two to four years in prison if convicted.
