The Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development released local unemployment rates yesterday.

 

The unemployment rate increased in all 95 counties. Williamson County had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.8 percent. Bledsoe County had the highest unemployment rate at 6.5 percent.

 

Locally, Bradley County’s unemployment rate rose to 4.1% up 6 tenths of a percentage point from May. 

 

Polk County’s rate jumped 7-tenths of a percentage point to 4.6%.

 

Dayton saw an increase of 9-tenths of a percentage point to 5.1 % 

 

And Athens’ unemployment rate increased 7 tenths of a percentage point to 4.7%.
