From Local 3 News: The man charged in a deadly double shooting at Sky Zoo on Lee Highway during Memorial Day in 2021 was found guilty on Wednesday.
According to the Hamilton County Criminal Court docket, 31-year-old Kristijan Mrkonjic was convicted of one count of first degree premeditated murder.
Mrkonjic was acquitted of four counts of tampering with evidence.
Mrkonjic was convicted of shooting and killing 32-year-old Eric Grant following an argument over a woman that both men had a relationship with.
A second man, 45-year-old Marking Vaughn, was also shot during the incident.
Mrkonjic is being held at the Hamilton County jail.
Mrkonjic has not been sentenced but under Tennessee law, he faces a sentence of life in prison.
He is scheduled to appear in court on October 2.
