From the Rhea County Herald-News: Late last week, a Rhea County man pleaded guilty to two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a child and will spend 16 years in state prison, according to the Rhea County Sheriff’s Department.

Douglas Clayton was originally indicted in November 2020 for rape of a child and aggravated sexual battery, but agreed to plead guilty to the two lesser counts in Circuit Court Judge Bradley Sherman’s court last week. Clayton will also be a lifetime registered sex offender.
