From Local 3 News: Just after midnight on Sunday morning, Chattanooga police responded to a pedestrian struck on Dayton Pike.
Officers located a 58-year-old woman around the 7000 block who died from her injuries on the scene.
The preliminary investigation shows that a vehicle was traveling northbound when a pedestrian walked into the roadway and was struck. The driver continued driving through Dayton Pike.
Police identified the driver of the vehicle as a 63-year-old man.
