In news today…

Due to the continued rise of staff and students in quarantine, and the inability to effectively cover classes, Bradley County Schools has made the following changes to schedules for secondary schools only: BCHS will continue virtual learning this week, through Friday. Ocoee Middle School, Walker Valley High School, and Lake Forest Middle School will move to a staggered A/B schedule beginning today. Again, these changes are for the aforementioned secondary schools ONLY. Elementary schools will follow their normal schedule.

From the Cleveland Daily Banner…

This week, WillowBend Farms collaborated with and worked alongside authorities from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Chattanooga Police Department and Homeland Security Investigation in a special undercover operation, over a two-day period beginning Dec. 9, aimed at addressing human trafficking in East Tennessee.

During this undercover operation, 14 men were arrested and accused of seeking illicit sex from minors. The WillowBend team, with assistance from Grow Free, was able to provide services to two adult victims and one juvenile.

This one sting operation is an active representation of the hundreds of thousands of trafficking cases across the country that have yet to be brought to light.

Tim Siniard reports: Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland will soon open a walk-in primary care center on Paul Huff Parkway in Cleveland, adding an additional and conveniently located facility for those needing urgent medical attention.

The 2,500-square-foot primary care center, which is slated to open next week, is located in the Paul Huff Corners shopping center.

The  walk-in clinic will offer a medical facility for those needing urgent care, but who want to avoid the long emergency room waits for nonemergency medical issues.

The clinic will have six exam rooms, an X-ray lab, as well as other capabilities offered by urgent care centers.

The primary care center’s hours will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday.
