Lee University announced yesterday in a statement that President Dr. Mark Walker will conclude his presidency on May 5, without seeking a second four-year term.

Walker announced his decision to faculty and staff yesterday and said “My wife Udella and I have enjoyed our four years in this role, but after lots of prayer and reflection, we are confident that our time as president is now complete.”

After the announcement, the Lee board voted unanimously to reinstate Dr. Paul Conn, the school’s former president of 34 years. Conn has accepted a one-year position as President and Chancellor to lead the school and search for a new president.
