From Fox 13: On Friday, the Towns County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that they received a call about a domestic situation in Hiawassee. When a deputy arrived in the area, they saw a vehicle reportedly swerve off the road aggressively to “intentionally run over” a female.
The vehicle hit the female and caused serious injuries. She was taken to the hospital, according to WSB-TV. Her current condition is unknown.
The driver was identified as Samantha Aguirrie Beck, 40, by TCSO. Beck was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, driving under the influence of drugs, disorderly conduct, failure to drive within a single lane and improper backing.
TCSO said they also arrested Royce Lee Beck, 40, for terroristic threats and acts.
The Department of Family and Children’s Services was called, and the care of the victim and another child were turned over to them, TCSO said.
According to WSB-TV, officials have not released the age of the victim.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
