Cleveland Fire Department responds to fire at Lee University Recreation Center Monday

Yesterday afternoon, the Cleveland Fire Department was dispatched to the Lee University Devos Recreation Center on a reported commercial structure

Yesterday afternoon, the Cleveland Fire Department was dispatched to the Lee University Devos Recreation Center on a reported commercial structure fire.

 

Fire crews arrived In less than 3 ½ minutes and reported smoke showing at the roof line.

 

Crews quickly determined all occupants were clear of the building and that there was a fire on the second floor.

 

A second alarm was requested consisting of two additional Cleveland Fire Engines and units from Tri-State Mutual Aid.

 

The incident was brought under control in approximately 53 minutes. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
