The Cleveland City School Board also met last night.
Director of Schools, Dr. Russell Dyer, expressed his appreciation to the community and school board for their support of him over the years as he prepares to make the transition as the next Director of Schools for Collierville Schools in West Tennessee. He also announced the December Blue Star Award Winner, Melissa Bishop, Assistant Principal at Stuart Elementary, and January Blue Star Award Winner Rhonda Weeks, Administrative Assistant at Stuart Elementary.
The staff of the Year Honorees were also recognized.
The board also elected officers. Nate Tucker will serve as Chairman and Carolyn Ingram will serve as Vice Chairman.
