From Local 3 News: 2022’s food insecurity increase is the largest since the 2008 recession. 40,000 people locally are not able to adequately feed their families.

The Chattanooga Area Food Bank President and CEO, Melissa Blevins says many are struggling.

“Numbers are really showing that more and more of our neighbors are making the impossible choices between their rent, their utilities, and food,” said Blevins.
