The Bradley County Commission met on Monday, covering several items of business.
Comments were shared from County Mayor D. Gary Davis regarding the growth in Bradley County, as well as the need to expand housing and infrastructure to accommodate this growth.
Mayor Davis has called for the cities of Cleveland and Charleston to engage in a new Joint Strategic Plan and to reconvene the Growth Plan Coordinating Committee to amend the 20-year growth plan.
Plans for a new fire garage were also discussed, which would have six offices and six drive-thru bays as well as a large storage area.
This would not be a fire station, but a garage for ladder trucks and other non-daily use vehicles. The city would assist in the construction of the new facility.
Congratulations were given to the Bradley Bearettes on their state title.
