School officials say they are looking into an allegation of a student who may have COVID-19 and attended Friday’s Cleveland High graduation.

The school district said in a statement that they told the Bradley County Health Department about it, and health officials are following protocols to gather information.

NewsChannel 9’s Sydney Edwards reported from the graduation Friday, June 12, which had social distancing guidelines in place. CHS principal Autumn O’Bryan said they spaced graduates and guests six feet apart.

The health department is offering free COVID-19 testing at their facility at 201 Dooley Street SE in Cleveland.

Cleveland City Schools asks community members to call the health department at 423-728-7020 for more questions on protocols to follow about these types of allegations.
