Kaitlin Gebby reports: Today, Cleveland High School will welcome Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee on a tour of its award-winning Career and Technical Education program during the first week students are back and at work in the classrooms. 

Cleveland High has 63 programs for high school students to obtain hands-on training in a specific career field, including opportunities to earn certifications and early college credits. In recent years, the CTE school, located within Cleveland High School, has grown, adding multiple programs and awards to its pedigree. 

Gov. Lee will see this and more on his tour of the CTE school this morning.

At the Cleveland Board of Education meeting Monday night, Dawn Robinson was reelected to another term as the chairwoman. Charlie Cogdill was elected as vice chair, and Krista McKay was elected as chair pro tem.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in identifying two males accused are breaking into a closed elementary school.

Investigators say the suspects committed a burglary and theft at the Old Ducktown Elementary School on or around December 27th.
