There are three new road construction projects beginning today that may cause road closures and delays.

As we reported last week, Cleveland Utilities will be installing a sanitary sewer line at the intersection of Durkee Road NE and Benton Pike NE. Durkee Road NE will be closed between Benton Pike NE and Old Powerline Road starting today.

In a release last week, CU expects the project to last 2-4 weeks depending on weather and the conditions encountered during construction.

The City of Cleveland also announced on social media two additional projects that will impact drivers this week.

Improvements to traffic lights and pedestrian signals at the intersection of Inman St. and Ocoee St. will begin today and continue for the remainder of the week.

TDOT will also begin paving South Lee Highway from the City limits to 3rd St SW starting today and continuing through the month of July. Please use caution in this area as some lanes will alternate closures.
