From Local 3 news: The TBI is investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting in Polk County on Wednesday.
It happened around 5:00pm at a home on CC Camp Road in Copperhill.
The TBI says US Marshals and Polk County deputies were trying to serve a warrant for a probation violation to 39-year-old Matthew Alexander Rich, who fired a gun at the officers after they announced their presence.
The TBI says three of the officers at the scene fired back, hitting and killing Rich as a result.
No officers were injured in the incident and their names have not been released.
The TBI’s investigation is ongoing.
