From the Cleveland Daily Banner: The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency has declared a state emergency that will allow fuel trucks to stay on the roads longer, as demand rises.

 

In a statement, TEMA Director Patrick C. Sheehan declared the state emergency “to allow the suspension of federal hours-of-service regulations due to the extreme winter weather and extended frigid temperatures in Tennessee resulting in increased demand for fuels and energy.

 

The hours-of-service exemption authorized in this declaration is in effect now until 3:59 pm CST on Jan. 27.
