From the Chattanooga Times Free Press: Dr. Andrew W. White, former Senior Director of Belmont University’s Fast Forward program, has been appointed as the next president of Cleveland State Community College by the Tennessee Board of Regents.

 

White, an accomplished education leader with a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Southern California, is set to assume his duties on April 1. His extensive background, including roles at Volunteer State Community College and the U.S. Air Force, positions him to lead Cleveland State into a new era.

 

White said in a press release, “I’m honored to be selected as the next president at Cleveland State Community College. I look forward to contributing to the college’s transformative mission and its impact on southeast Tennessee.”

 

The board’s unanimous decision follows a rigorous selection process involving public forums and interviews. Chancellor Flora W. Tydings praised all the finalists, emphasizing their excellence as candidates.
