From NewsChannel 9: One person is dead tonight after a rollover crash in McMinn County.
That’s according to the Sweetwater Police Department.
In a Facebook post, the department said officers responded to the area of Old Highway 68 and Starrett Street on July 1st.
The call was about a single vehicle rollover with possible entrapment.
During the course of the investigation officers say they “discovered the accident was fatal.”
While on scene, officers spoke with two witnesses who reported seeing a 1997 Jeep Wrangler lose its rear tire, which apparently caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
The name of the victim has been withheld at this time.
