From NewsChannel 9: An investigation is underway after a man whom deputies were trying to arrest died after a deputy used a stun gun on him.

 

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) says the incident happened on the morning of October 5th at a home on County Road 360 in Niota.

 

The TBI says deputies were serving an order of protection to 43-year-old Christopher Kent Graham.

 

A release says “there was an altercation” between Graham and the deputies, and one of them used a stun gun (taser) on him.

 

He became unresponsive, and EMS transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased,’ the release continues.
