From Fox 17 in Nashville: Tennessee first lady Maria Lee announced Thursday she is now in remission after being diagnosed with lymphoma last year.

Gov. Bill Lee’s wife posted a video to Twitter thanking Tennesseans for their prayers and support while she underwent cancer treatment.

The first lady says her stem cell transplant in February was a success. She’ll be monitored for the next five years but says she’s doing “remarkably well.”

“It hasn’t always been easy, but not once have I felt alone and we’ve seen God’s faithfulness every step of the way,” she said.
