From the Cleveland Daily Banner: A garbage truck was involved in a rollover accident this afternoon, resulting in the roadway being closed.
The incident occurred on Lacy Road SE, just off Union Road SE, in southern Bradley County. The truck is owned by 5 Star Waste, a trash pickup service.
According to early reports, the driver was not injured, but initially couldn’t exit the vehicle while it was on its side. The driver was later able to get out. Neither the driver nor the other employee riding on the truck were injured.
The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the scene and reportedly closed the road, limiting traffic.
Drivers are advised to use caution or to avoid the area if possible.
