From News 12: Five Bradley County student-athletes recently signed a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deal with Wholesale Carpet Sales & Flooring.

A company will pay these five students for participating in a marketing campaign. They chose these students based on academic performance, leadership and athletic ability. The participants are student basketball players within Bradley County.

This is the first group deal of its kind for Bradley County. Since new NIL laws passed in 2019, students can now make money based on their athletic and academic success, without affecting their eligibility to compete in sports.

In their deal, these students will appear in social media content for the company, Wholesale Carpet Sales & Flooring. The campaign is named “The Fab 5 of Bradley County.”

“I couldn’t be more proud of these amazing young ladies,” said Bartlee Norton, Owner/CEO of Wholesale Carpet Sales & Flooring. “These student-athletes have put in the work on and off the basketball court, and we’re so proud to recognize them with the very first group NIL deal for our local high school student-athletes.”
