From Fox 17 in Nashville: After several lawsuits, attorneys representing the city of Nashville have submitted writings belonging to the Covenant School gunman for a judge to review.
Metro Legal confirmed to FOX 17 News an unredacted version of Audrey Hale’s manifesto and a second version with proposed redactions were delivered to the Davidson County Chancellor’s chambers on Friday.
While some believe releasing the journals will help understand why Hale took six innocent lives — including three children — at the Green Hills elementary school, others say it isn’t necessary.
A status conference will be held on Wednesday, May 18 between a county judge and city attorneys to discuss what can be accomplished at a June public hearing.
Members of the public will be invited to express concerns regarding the release of the writings on Thursday, June 8.
