Cleveland City Schools released a statement yesterday to announce the launch of “Cleveland Commits,” a comprehensive instructional plan designed to ensure that every student in the district is known by name, ability, and need and that graduates are ready for their chosen career path.

The core principles of Cleveland Commits focus on providing all students with effective instruction in a safe and warm environment.

The “Cleveland Commits” plan is centered around four key pillars:

  1. Curriculum and High-Quality Instructional Materials

  1. Check-Ins and Understanding Progress Toward Instructional Goals

  1. Collaboration and Professional Development and Vision Setting

  1. Coaching and Support for Teachers’ Growth and Impact

Dr. Russell Dyer, Director of Schools of Cleveland City Schools, expressed his enthusiasm for the Cleveland Commits, stating, “This instructional plan reflects our unwavering commitment to the growth and success of every student in our district.”
