Cleveland City Schools announced two new Assistant Principals yesterday.

 

Melissa Bishop will be the next Assistant Principal of Yates Primary as Zach Riggins moves into a full-time Assistant Principal role at Ross Elementary. Melissa Bishop has worked within Cleveland City Schools for 20 years. Since 2010, Melissa has served as an Instructional Specialist. Before becoming an Instructional Specialist, Melissa served as an Instructional Facilitator and First-Grade Academy Teacher. Her journey in education began in Hamblen County Schools. 

 

Melissa Bishop holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.

 

Mindy Kiser will be the next Assistant Principal of George R. Stuart Elementary School as Matt Ingram moves into a full-time Assistant Principal role at Arnold Memorial. Mindy has been a member of the school since 2016, serving as a dedicated Physical Education teacher. 

 

Mindy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Educational leadership.
