For the first time in its 31-year history, the Cleveland Bradley Relay for Life has been chosen by the American Cancer Society as the number one Relay in the State of Tennessee, the Southeast U.S., and in the Nation, out of more than 2500 Relays in 2023.

The Cleveland Bradley Relay raised $172,000 in 2023.

Following the announcement, Relay Chairperson Dewayne Belew said, “All the credit goes to our hardworking volunteers, the Survivors and Caregivers who support us, and the Sponsors and Teams who advance our fight against cancer.“

Local volunteers are working on the 2024 Relay for Life set for April 20 in downtown Cleveland. This year’s theme is the International Festival of Hope.

In addition to the awards received for the relay itself, the Wesley Cornerstone Team was named the Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Team in the State of Tennessee while Chairman Dewayne Belew was named the Pat Flynn Spirit of Relay Volunteer of the Year for Tennessee.
