The Bradley County Commission met yesterday.

 

3rd District Commissioner and Finance Committee Chairman, Milan Blake, informed the commission that one of the recommended HCI Committee projects has been withdrawn due to not meeting all requirements. The county will now have $25k more to award this cycle. The commission voted to allocate $14,029 to a Greenway Project to extend the Fillauer Branch Trail and $8,336.69 for a TriState Exhibition Center HVAC project. The remaining funds will be rolled over to the next award cycle. 

 

3rd District Commissioner, Denny Collins, presented a letter to Tennessee’s U.S. Senators and Representatives requesting funding for the proposed Affordable Connectivity Extension Act. The federally funded program, which benefits over 10,000 in Bradley County, is set to expire. The proposed letter was passed by the commission unanimously. 

 

The next work session of the commission will be on March 11, at 12 p.m. at the Bradley County Courthouse.
