The Bradley County Commission met yesterday.

During the Mayor’s Report, Mayor Gary Davis discussed an agreement with Cleveland State Community College that offers two scholarships per year for EMS and paramedic training. As a result of the program, two new employees were added last year. The Mayor announced that the agreement with Cleveland State has been renewed.

Third District Commissioner, Milan Blake told the Commission that the Finance Committee voted to recommend adding a second monitor in the commission room. This will allow those who are streaming the meetings to view presentations and those presenting to the commission. Blake also led a discussion of how the HCI Committee members are appointed. The Finance Committee voted to remove the required medical background that is currently in place for those appointed to the HCI Committee by the mayor. Blake asked the topic be added to the October 16th voting session.
