From NewsChannel 9: A 79-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash near Highway 411 in Polk County, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The accident happened Saturday afternoon at about 2:30 p.m.
A THP report says William L. Goldsby was heading north in the right-hand lane of Highway 411.
A Hyundai SUV was stopped at the intersection of the highway and Lillard Road.
The THP says Goldsby tried to cross the northbound lanes to go south on Highway 411.
The report says the Hyundai pulled in front of Goldsby, and he hit the vehicle.
The driver of the SUV was injured. The report says the THP doesn’t plan to file any charges in this case.
