From Local 3 News: The wife of the man who died last summer on the Ocoee is suing the white water rafting company.
The lawsuit says they chose the company due to their commitment to safety, however, they say Eugene Hinson was not given a life jacket to fit his size.
The suit states the company was negligent in the case and Hinson’s wife is asking for more than $4 million dollars.
Hinson was killed in a rafting incident on the Ocoee River in 2022. The last death on the Ocoee was in July of 2019 when a teenage girl fell off a raft.
