Bradley County Schools announced that Valley View Elementary School will be closed today, Friday, May 10th due to a power outage affecting the school.
There is also a modified bus route for students residing in the Valley View area who attend Lake Forest Middle School and Bradley Central High School.
The modified bus route will feature consolidated stops to accommodate the impacted road conditions. Students residing along Samples Chapels Road, North Bucks Road, and White Road will now meet at Samples Baptist Church at 6:25 AM.
Furthermore, all stops along Kincaid Road will be relocated to the corner of Hughes Lake and Kincaid, with buses arriving at 6:35 AM. The Union Road stop will commence at 6:30 AM.
Parents or guardians unable to safely transport children to the designated areas are encouraged to promptly contact their school office before 9:00 AM to explore arrangements for virtual learning options.
