The United Way of the Ocoee region held their annual awards luncheon on Wednesday at the Museum Center at 5ive Points.

The campaign raised Campaign raised $1,461, 396 but $2.7 million was invested in the community.

The top award given by the organization is the William F Johnson, community service award, this year‘s award was given to Alan Smith, who has been very active in the United Way for many years. The colonel Jim Tucker award for servant leadership with a nonprofit organization, went to Diana Jackson, the CEO of Life Bridges. And the Charlotte Thorogood Women of impact award went to our very own Ashley Flowers for her volunteerism and work with the United Way of the Ocoee region.

Dr. Matt Tolbert was announced as the incoming United Way board chairman. The next campaign cochairs will be announced soon.
