With broken hearts, and beautiful memories, we will choose to celebrate the life of Taylor Wade Cannon, born June 3, 2003. Taylor met his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ face to face and was reunited with his beloved Papa Ron on January 1, 2024.

Taylor, 20, was known for his love of others, his willingness to serve all those around him, his dependability, his warm smile, his quiet laughter, incredible wit, and hard work ethic. He was an avid Tennessee Volunteer fan, he loved baseball, traveling, farming, his friends and he loved his family fiercely. Taylor loved life. He was extremely thoughtful and intentional in the way he looked for opportunities to take care of people showing wisdom and maturity beyond his years. Taylor was often referred to as an old soul, as you don’t see many 20 year olds who would willingly choose to spend time taking care of loved ones in their last days, and continuing to watch over his Gigi this last year. Taylor was one of a kind.

Taylor was a graduate of Walker Valley High School, class of 2022. He was in his first year of nursing school at Lee University School of Nursing. Taylor dreamed of becoming a travel nurse and seeing the world, all while helping others. He took so many trips with his family that inspired his love of travel, and those adventures will forever be cherished memories.

Taylor leaves behind his loving parents, Brittany and Wade Cannon, his brother Carson, and his sister Abbi Reese. He was the oldest grandchild in an immensely close family. He is also survived by his grandmother Sherry Spangler, his grandfather Ernest Joe Cannon, his uncle Patrick (Jan) Spangler, and cousins Hudson and Houston, his uncle Jason (Aubrie) Spangler, and cousins Paisley, Adelyn, and Grady, his uncle Ernie (Bambi) Cannon, and cousins Duggan (Kiersten) and Greyson, and second cousin, Miles.

Taylor was preceded in death and greeted at Heaven’s gate by some of his favorite people, his grandfather, Ron Spangler, his grandmother, Jean Cannon, his great-grandparents, Imogene and Leon Spangler and great-grandparents, Jean and Taylor Cawood.

Taylor brought so much joy to our lives, and we invite you to gather with us as we honor his memory. The family will be receiving friends at North Cleveland Baptist Church on Sunday, January 7th, 2024 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm and Monday from 10:30 am -12:00 pm with service following. Dr. Jay McCluskey will be officiating. Graveside service immediately following at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Carson Cannon, Patrick Spangler, Jason Spangler, Harrison Gilliland, Jackson Gilliland, Charley Gilliland, Ernie Cannon and Ross Sneed.
