Bradley County Emergency Management Agency Public Information Officer Adam Lewis joined us in the studio to give an update on yesterday’s plane crash that took place in Bradley County off Waterlever Hwy near the Polk county line. Watch the interview below.

At 5:13 PM the initial report of a plane crash in southeast Bradley County was called into the Bradley County 911 Center.

Bradley County Fire Rescue, Bradley County EMS, Bradley County Sheriff’s Office, and a Bradley County EMA immediately responded to the scene.
After a brief search the crash site was located in a heavily wooded area on Linden Dr, near Waterlevel Highway near the Polk County line.
Debris from a single engine prop plane was discovered across several hundred yards.
It appears two souls were on board, and both are deceased.
The Bradley County Medical examiner is on scene and in the process of removing the bodies.
The FAA and NTSB will be leading the investigation into the cause of the crash.
The area has been cordoned off and will be secured overnight by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office until federal investigators arrive tomorrow.
Original Story:Mix 104.1/MixTV.TV Breaking News: Bradley County Sheriff’s Department has confirmed that a small plane crashed on the Bradley/Polk County line at around 5:30 p.m. this evening. It has been confirmed that two people were killed in the plane crash. This is the first fatal plane crash in many years in Bradley County. Representatives from the FAA will be at the crash site Tuesday morning.
