From Fox 17, WZTV Nashville: A reported salmonella outbreak linked to cantaloupes has sickened 56 more people, bringing the total to 99 people in 32 states, including Tennessee and Kentucky.

There is an expansion of a cantaloupe recall on November 24 after the count cases doubled since the November 17 update, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Two Minnesota deaths are now also linked to the recall.

Four people have been sickened in Tennessee and five in Kentucky, the CDC said. And 45 of the 99 sickened people have been hospitalized. Canada is also investigating illnesses.

The initial recall included Malichita and Rudy stickered whole cantaloupes, Vinyard brand pre-cut cantaloupe and ALDI whole cantaloupe and pre-cut fruit products. Just added to the list are Freshness Guaranteed brand and RaceTrac brand pre-cut cantaloupes.

Anyone with the recalled cantaloupes should them away or return them to where you bought them.
