From Local 3 News: A McMinn County man who is accused of child sex crimes was arrested Monday on more than two dozen charges.
A TBI spokesperson says 27-year-old Kenterrius McGuffie is charged with 13 counts of Aggravated Rape of a Child, 12 counts of Especially Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor, one count of Continual Sexual Abuse of a Child, and one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor (Over 50 Images).
The TBI says McGuffie was arrested after agents got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about child sexual abuse material being uploaded by a Snapchat user who was later identified as McGuffie.
The TBI says authorities detained McGuffie at his place of employment in Sweetwater, while agents and investigators executed a search warrant at his home in Athens.
McGuffie was booked at the McMinn County Jail on a $400,000 bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
