Tim Siniard reports: A Cleveland man was arrested by the Cleveland Police Department Saturday for allegedly  impersonating a United States Postal worker.

Brandon L. Polke, 24, is facing criminal impersonation and  possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia charges, after the CPD responded to a complaint regarding an “unwanted male subject” at the 3600 block of Keith Street.

Police said Polke identified himself as another individual via a United States Postal Service badge.

During questioning, police said Polke, who was identified after his arrest, gave the wrong birthday of the individual to whom the badge actually belonged.

When police attempted to arrest Polke, he tensed his body and would not follow instructions as they were handcuffing him.

In addition, police said Polke had a warrant from McMinn County for violation of parole.

Polke, who was also charged with false reports, trespassing and resisting arrest, was transported to the Bradley County Jail, where he remains on an $11,000 appearance bond.
