The Bradley County Schools Board of Education met on Thursday. There have been slight delays in the completion of the PIE Center due to a cost saving measure that has extended the time frame. Contracts are still in negotiations with several tenants and build-outs in many areas continue. The BCHS tennis court project has hit a snag with dirt issues but those issues are in the process of being resolved. The WVHS court is proceeding with extra help brought in to expedite the process.

For the 15th consecutive year, the Bradley County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office has received “yet another outstanding report for the 2020-2021 fiscal year audit.” Gayla Harris Miller, Circuit, Criminal, Sessions and Juvenile Court Clerk for Bradley County, said the review had “no findings or recommendations in the yearly financial audit of the courts.” Miller said during the 2020-21 fiscal year the offices had collected more than $2.2 million in revenue, with more than $39.5 million turned over to the Bradley County General Fund since her tenure began.
