Local funeral home chain acquired by Georgia company

From Cleveland Daily Banner: A Woodstock, Georgia-based funeral home company has acquired Ralph Buckner Funeral Home & Crematory of Cleveland.

 

The transaction was finalized on Thursday, Aug. 31st, and includes Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cleveland, as well as Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation Service in both Cleveland and Etowah.

 

Buckner told the Cleveland Daily Banner he will remain as a consultant on an as-needed basis.

 

The Buckner family first started in the funeral business back in 1952.
