From News Channel 9: An investigation is underway at Lee University in Bradley County after a ‘potential security incident,’ according to the school.
The incident was identified early on the morning of March 22nd.
The university says the IT department took steps to contain the “suspected incident” and that classes were not disrupted.
In an email, Lee U. Spokeswoman Kendra Grant says
Lee University became aware of a potential security incident early Friday morning, March 22, 2024. With assistance from external resources, Lee University’s IT team took immediate measures to contain the suspected incident and secure Lee’s environment. Classes have continued as scheduled. The investigation is still ongoing, and we are unable to share specific information on the nature of the incident or extent of its impact.
Right now, we still don’t know the nature of this incident, but we’re working to learn more.
