From News Channel 9: A man running for Tennessee Governor was arrested Monday at a Hamilton County voting location, says the Chattanooga Police Department (CPD).

Police say they responded to a call from someone within the Hamilton County Election Commission.

The arrest affidavit says officers identified Charles Morgan as the man causing a disturbance outside the voting location.

The affidavit says Morgan was yelling and cursing at people as they went in to vote.

Police say those operating the voting location asked CPD to remove Morgan from the property.

The arrest report details police officers walking up to Morgan and asking to speak with him. They say Morgan tried to walk away and that is when CPD says they tried to place Morgan under arrest.

Police say Morgan resisted arrest and a small scuffle broke out, leading to Morgan being placed on his stomach, then put into handcuffs.

Morgan was taken to Erlanger East, and is currently in the Silverdale Jail.

The arrest report says Morgan is being charged with:
Resisting arrest
Disorderly conduct
Intimidation of voters

It was reported Morgan also had a handgun on him.
