Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. (AWG) issued an additional notice, having distributed one of the products to independently-owned supermarkets in several states.

Those states include Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, and Alabama.

The lots included in the recall were manufactured between Jan. 2 and Jan. 18, 2023.

An FDA release states the formula may be contaminated with a bacteria called “Cronobacter sakazakii.”

Most people who come into contact with it do not develop symptoms.

However, infants that are under two months old, premature, or that have weakened immune systems may get sick.

Symptoms include fever, poor feeding, and excessive crying or low energy.

If you purchased the product, you should stop using it immediately and dispose of it.

If your baby is developing symptoms, you should contact your healthcare provider.
